Chris Sullivan

Chris Sullivan grew up in Charleston and plays around town.

Charleston native Chris Sullivan grew up inspired by his surroundings and has since poured his memories and experiences into his songwriting. Now, he's coming out with a new album and releasing a track exclusively through Charleston Scene.

"By the Light of the Radio" is an upbeat sentimental track, recalling childhood nights turning those radio dials and escaping through music. The vivid storytelling arrives among rhythmic guitar and nostalgic harmonica, forming into a full composition that is rich, full and vibrant. You can listen below.

"This is probably one of the most straightforward, personal songs I've written," says Sullivan. "It was during those countless hours spent by the radio that I met my musical heroes, I found comfort, I found inspiration and most definitely found myself."

This is the second single from Sullivan's upcoming album, due early next year.
