Darius Rucker, famed lead singer of one of South Carolina's biggest music success stories Hootie & the Blowfish, has announced that he's reuniting with his former bandmates for a "one-night only" show this summer.

Officially, Hootie & the Blowfish went on an indefinite hiatus in the early 2000s, but we can still hear "Cracked Rear View" playing as the reminiscent summer soundtrack of '94. Now, those glistening golden tracks that have stood the test of radio time will be performed live with the whole band in tow yet again at a huge stadium show in Atlanta.

"I'm really excited to announce that I talked to my boys Mark, D and Soni and we decided we'll have a good time with Jason Aldean," Rucker says.

That's right. The reunion performance will be a part of current country sensation Jason Aldean’s High Noon Neon Tour, which will make a stop at the Atlanta Braves new stadium Sun TrustPark on July 21. Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina will be joining Aldean and the Blowfish for the occasion.

"I can't wait," adds Rucker. "It's one night only. We're getting the band back together to play with Jason. So it's going to be a great time and I'll see all you guys there. So come on out."

The University of South Carolina graduate turned country music superstar has performed solo for many years now, but gets together with Mark Bryan, Jim Sonefeld and Dean Felber for occasional shows, such as the annual HomeGrown concerts and other charity events. The band most recently had to cut short today's "Monday after the Masters" Celebrity Pro-Am event.

Tickets are available now for the July Hootie & the Blowfish show via www.jasonaldean.com/tour and ticketmaster.com. They start at $35 and are listed for $249 and up. VIP tickets are available as well.
