Andrew Bird

WHAT: Ted Poor opens for Andrew Bird, the indie rock multi-instrumentalist who plays violin, guitar and glockenspiel, among his own flute-like whistling. The indie folk avid cyclist with a barn studio has released 16 studio albums.

The High Divers + Daddy's Beemer + Jenna Desmond

WHAT: This local lineup has got me excited. The High Divers, who lived in Charleston for a stint before moving up to North Carolina, will be back in town for what is sure to be a foot-stompin' and booty-shakin' rock 'n' roll show. If you haven't seen local indie rockers Daddy's Beemer or Babe Club's Jenna Desmond live yet, come early so as not to miss them.

Rocket Piano Man

WHAT: This Elton John and Billy Joel tribute show is sure to be a hit-filled singalong.

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real

WHAT: This country rock group starring the son of Willie Nelson will play at one of the Lowcountry's newest outdoor venues, The Refinery.

The Lone Bellow

WHAT: Brooklyn indie folk band The Lone Bellow is playing at downtown's renovated old movie theater, The Riviera.

An Evening with Ryan Monroe + Josh Roberts

WHAT: Band of Horses' Ryan Monroe and The Hinges' Josh Roberts have been playing together since "the early days," when they both played in Captain Easy. They're back as a duo for the first time in two decades.

The Wallflowers

WHAT: Bob Dylan's son Jakob leads this rock band founded in 1989 whose hit song "One Headlight" is featured on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 greatest pop songs of all time. "6th Avenue Heartache" and "The Dive Bar in My Heart" are among the band's other favorites.

WHAT: The rapper behind hit songs "Buzzin'" and "Corona and Lime" will perform, along with local hip-hop artist and Pour House show curator Slim S.O.U.L. and the NO.

WHAT: One of the first stories I wrote for The Post and Courier was on Charleston-favorite band Uncle Mingo, a funk-punk quintet that's been rockin' together in the party-hearty attitude of The Red Hot Chili Peppers since 1989. If you haven't seen them, this is your chance, on the beachfront.

Ben Folds 

WHAT: The multi-instrumentalist, perhaps best known for pop group Ben Folds Five, has collaborated with William Shatner, Regina Spektor and Weird Al Yankovic. He was a judge on "The Sing-Off" and is the first artistic advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center. 

WHEN: 7:30 p.m. April 30
