Judy Gold

Stand-up comedian Judy Gold will perform at The Schoolhouse on Thursday.

NOTE: Due to inclement weather, this event will be rescheduled for a later date.

On Judy Gold’s website, she describes herself as a “comedian, actor, writer, host, big mouth” and the Emmy award-winner will bring her hilarity to The Schoolhouse on Thursday, presented by the Charleston Jewish Community Center Without Walls, the Alliance for Full Acceptance and We Are Family. Gold is truly a no-holds-barred humorist. Being that she’s from New Jersey, is 6’3” and is a Jewish lesbian, there’s a lot going on there. She’s had stand-up specials on HBO, Comedy Central and LOGO, performed off-Broadway and guest starred on dozens of television shows. On her website is an endearing (outstanding) post about her “special skills,” which include pretending that she’s listening to you while texting, stabbing her hand while removing an avocado pit, embarrassing her kids in front of their friends, lip-synching and dialects.

WHEN: 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4

WHERE: The Schoolhouse, 720 Magnolia Road, Charleston

PRICE: $35
