Calling all dogs and their humans to a Boykin Rescue and Pet Helpers benefit

The Boykin Bash fundraiser for Boykin Spaniel Rescue and Pet Helpers is Saturday at The Barrel on James Island.

The second annual Boykin Bash, a benefit for Boykin Spaniel Rescue and Pet Helpers, will take place on Saturday, in honor of Boykin Spaniel Day (Friday), at The Barrel on James Island. The Boykin spaniel, highly loyal and intelligent, and best known for being a stellar hunting dog, is the official state dog of South Carolina. All dogs are welcome at this special play date, which also will include live music from Whitney Hanna (acoustic rock/blues/country) and Nocturnal Kernalz (funk fusion), the El Pincho food truck and pizza, 33 beers on tap, raffles, prizes and more. Pet Helpers will be on-site with adoptable dogs and guests are encouraged to bring additional chairs.
