Charleston police are looking for a man who robbed a downtown bank this morning.

The robbery happened about 9:40 a.m. at the First Reliance Bank at 25 Cumberland St.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 40 years old, about 6-feet-tall. He wore a blue, hooded sweatshirt, blue sweat pants and a hankie around his face, department spokesman Charles Francis said.

No customers were in the bank at the time and no one was injured, Francis said. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Check back for more details as they become available.
