Carlette Walker, SCANA's former vice president of finance for nuclear construction, left a voicemail for Marion Cherry, one of Santee Cooper's employees at V.C. Summer station, in early 2016. In the voicemail, Walker alleges SCANA's executives are only stringing the project along in order to boost the company’s profits and lock down their executive bonuses. She also tells Cherry to get Santee Cooper's former CEO Lonnie Carter to oppose any more cost increases for the troubled nuclear project.
