Rise and shine: Send us your sunrise photos each morning

A gull welcomes the sun in June 2014. By Andy Paras/staff.

Good morning, early risers.

Every morning here at The Post and Courier we post a weather story onto our website and social media accounts. We do our best to pair the with a sunrise photo from the same morning, sometimes posting our own or using the great photos from John Rector of the Isle of Palms.

We’d also like to extend an invitation to you to send us your best morning photo starting Monday, Feb. 2. Here’s all you have to do: Take a picture in the morning and send it to yourphotos@postandcourier.com with the subject ‘Sunrise’ by 7:30 a.m. The deadline is a little tight right now, we know, but it will get easier once the sun starts rising later.

Each morning we’ll run at least one of the submissions on our story and social media accounts.

If we get enough entries we’ll run them in a gallery.

Also, don’t forget this week’s editor’s pick photo assignment is Lowcountry After Dark. Send your best photo (just one please) to yourphotos@postandcourier.com by noon on Feb. 3. Lowcountry Waterfowl photos are due by noon on Feb. 10.

And again, thanks to every one who shares their photos with us every week. We really enjoy looking at them and sharing them.
