Swing sets

Troxel Co. of Moscow, Tenn., is recalling more than 105,000 of its Flexible Flyer swing sets because the seesaw seats can break apart from the bolt fasteners.

They said it has received 1,232 reports of the seats breaking. There have been 13 reports of injuries to young children, which include bumps, bruises and cuts.

The sets were sold in major chains, as well as online from December through May.

There are 11 models involved. Consumers should contact Troxel for a free repair kit.

High chairs

More than 485,000 Chico Polly high chairs are being recalled. Importer Artsana USA Inc. knows of 21 children getting injured from falling against pegs on the back legs of the chairs.

Four children got cuts serious enough to require stitches, and one had a scratched cornea. There are 26 chair models involved. They were sold from January 2005 through this month online and at major chains.

Gel packs

About 880,000 Ice/Hot and Ice Gel Packs imported by California Innovations Inc. of Toronto; sold between July 2007 and December 2008.

The Cryofreeze ice/hot packs and Arctic Zone ice packs are gel-filled plastic pouches with either transparent or opaque sealed wrappers.

If the packs become damaged, they can leak gel that could contain diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol, and cause illness if ingested in large amounts. No incidents have been reported.
