Linda Morse counts an in-law as mentor, ran a shop catering to the housing trade and helped many aspiring agents. Those experiences should go far in her new post at an age-restricted Summerville area community, according to the builder.
Morse, a local Realtor, represents K. Hovnanian Homes as sales consultant for K. Hovnanian’s Four Seasons at Lakes of Cane Bay, set to open later this year.
K. Hovnanian Homes is a division of Hovnanian Enterprises Inc., described as one of the top 10 home builders in the U.S.
The company touts Morse, a long-time Moncks Corner area resident, as a “respected real estate professional who specializes in new home sales geared toward the (age) 55-plus market.”
“I am delighted to be part of this excellent K. Hovnanian Homes team,” Morse says. “K. Hovnanian’s Four Seasons at Lakes of Cane Bay is a beautiful and unique coastal community built by one of the nation’s leading home builders.”
She got involved in residential real estate through her father-in-law, R. Harry Morse, who was a local builder and Realtor.
“He owned his own company and was the first builder in the Trident area to create a new-home subdivision,” she says. “He mentored me in all aspects of the industry, including selling.”
From there, Morse managed “a large lighting and appliance store where I worked closely with both builders and homeowners. I have experienced many sides of this industry,” she says. According to the builder, Morse has mentored a variety of real estate pros and is active in the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors.
K. Hovnanian Homes says that Morse inspires her family, colleagues and peers by practicing the principles of her favorite quote: “Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, and how you leave others feeling after an experience with you becomes your trademark.”
K. Hovnanian’s Four Seasons at Lakes of Cane Bay affords a “stunning natural setting” with one of the largest private lakes at 300 acres in the Lowcountry, the company says. Popular activities include fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, birding and boating. The lakes also sport a five-mile nature and bike trail.
The community intends to provide housing “primarily for persons 55 years of age or older.” At all times, at least 80 percent of the homes within the village will be occupied by at least one person age 55 or above, K. Hovnanian Homes notes.
