A former pet care specialist and “family partner” has built up her resume in the home buying field and now collaborates with the Jim Mills Group.
Michelle Barnes signed on with the local real estate group, part of AgentOwned Realty at 1711 N. Main St. in Summerville.
”I am excited about real estate and with the help of the Jim Mills team at Agent Owned Realty, would love an opportunity to help you find your next home,” she says.
Barnes moved with her family to the Charleston area in October 2007. “My husband and I have grown to love the Charleston area,” she says. They are active members of Bethany United Methodist Church.
Their son plays baseball for the Summerville Miracle League, and daughters are “little gymnastics” participants. “In my free time I enjoy going on dates with my husband, running and reading,” Barnes says.
Previously, she worked for Family Connection of South Carolina as a family partner for about five years. “As a family partner, I assisted new parents of children with special health care needs and provided emotional support as well as assisted them with help on how to navigate the complex system of services,” she says.
In summer 2013, she opened Premier Pet Services, providing “excellent” care for pets while their owners were away from home.
“I am now a full-time licensed real estate agent and am focusing all my attention on helping my clients make informed decisions,” she says. Barnes calls herself a “dedicated member of the Jim Mills team at AgentOwned Realty.”
A steadily-growing real estate company that moved into the Charleston area in the past year counts a new agent in greater Columbia.
ERA Wilder Realty said it has brought on Jacqueline Davis, who recently joined the agency’s “team of real estate sales professionals” focusing on consumers in the Chapin area.
Davis, originally from New Mexico, graduated from New Mexico State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She moved to Chapin three years ago. She is a “Chapin lacrosse mom, and the team’s media manager,” ERA Wilder Realty says.
Davis enjoys the “lake life” in South Carolina. The detail-oriented associate also likes to work on making “meticulous beading designs,” the agency says.
As an ERA Wilder Realty agent, she will be able to offer homebuyers and sellers a “wide variety of innovative and market-relevant products and services.” They include the ERA Sellers Security Plan and “robust” online marketing programs. The national affiliate also can offer “extensive listings-distribution partners” and related services such as home warranty, title and mortgage, the firm notes.
“I am so excited to get started,” Davis says. “I love the Midlands and can’t wait to help my clients find the house of their dreams.”
According to Dan Lang, broker in charge, “We are excited to have Jackie join our team in Chapin. Her marketing background and experiences will be a great benefit to her clients getting their home sold and (to) her buyer clients.”
Founded in 1995, ERA Wilder Realty describes itself as one of the largest real estate companies in South Carolina. Agents can take advantage of “tech-savvy tools and the most up-to-date knowledge of today’s real estate market,” to help serve their clients, the realty says.
