Pre-leases begin at Lowcountry rental-home village rising on deep water

Sweetwater Apartments’ developer boasts that the luxury village will be the only new, deepwater-access rental property in the Charleston area.

Sweetwater Apartments, now under construction on Beresford Creek, recently kick-started the leasing process so that tenants can sign up and move in to finished rental homes as early as this fall.

Such pre-leases provide renters with the ability to secure sought-after apartment homes in the new, luxury development in Berkeley County.

“We’re excited to be bringing a true waterfront apartment community to Charleston,” Tyler Kassinger says. He’s development partner of Kassinger Development Group.

Sweetwater Apartments sits minutes from the Clements Ferry Road exit off Interstate 526. The 320 apartment-home community will encompass 11 three- and four-story buildings located on nearly 50 acres, the development group says.

According to Kassinger, “Sweetwater is going to offer beautiful energy efficient apartment homes and top-notch amenities — especially with the deep-water access. It’s going to be a great place to call home.”

Once complete, the community will feature studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom luxury apartment homes designed with a Lowcountry waterfront lifestyle in mind, developers say.

Attractions will include a boat ramp, community docks, boat parking and storage, resort pool with cabanas, top-end fitness center, walking and bicycle paths, outdoor kitchens, pet parks and community greenhouses, according to developer Kassinger Development Group.

Energy-efficient apartment homes showcase stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, 42-inch upper cabinets in the kitchens, oversized windows, large double vanities with drawers, walk-in closets and roomy screened-in porches. All the units offer either nature, pond, or Beresford Creek views.

Along with the apartment homes and surrounding amenities, the Sweetwater neighborhood will feature Eastwood Homes-built single-family houses and a 20-room waterfront boutique inn.

The community stands 15 minutes from downtown Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island and the Charleston International Airport. It’s five minutes from Daniel Island, according to the developer.

“Some of the area’s largest employers in technology, healthcare and aviation are in close proximity to Sweetwater,” the project backer notes.

Sweetwater Apartments’ address will be 16000 Sweet Place. While it’s under construction, the community appears at 170 Rebellion Farms Place on maps. Residents can locate Sweetwater there.
