164 Ithecaw Creek St. — Course-side Daniel Island home incorporates attached gazebo, gourmet kitchen, incomparable deck views

It’s no coincidence that golf links and real estate match up. Golf’s a laidback sport to watch and can be fun to play. As backyards of sorts, courses are lush and open.

Living on a golf layout, then, can be a multifaceted treat. That’s a point of attraction for 164 Ithecaw Creek St., a 4,154-square-foot house for sale in Daniel Island Park.

The property’s on the market for $1,550,000, according to Donna Landry, associate with Coldwell Banker United, Realtors and listing agent for the home.

“Come and enjoy one of the best golf course views in the Charleston area,” she says in her listing write-up.

Attractions at the Daniel Island residence are more than just the sights, however. Sporting four bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths, the house showcases an open floor plan with fireplaces in the living room, master bedroom and deck; and touts a top-notch kitchen taking in stainless steel appliances, a six burner and griddle gas cook top, two wall ovens and a wine refrigerator.

“You will be amazed at the impeccable taste and exquisite finishes selected by the owners in this custom home,” Landry says.

Noted builder J.D. Smith constructed the residence.

The house extends along the “prestigious” Ralston Creek Golf Course, Landry says. Ralston Creek is one of two layouts in Daniel Island Park.

Landry, who is based in Coldwell Banker’s downtown office, says the course’s appeal can first be noticed when going inside.

“As you enter the foyer the view through the home to the outside golf course and water are spectacular,” she says. “You are looking at the 12th hole and lake beyond.”

Landry pointed out scores of features within 164 Ithecaw Creek St. Distinguishing the living area are custom cabinets and coffered ceiling as well as a fireplace and “breathtaking views of the course and pond,” she says.

Near the gourmet kitchen sits the dining area, which has room “for a large table and hutch.” There are three sets of French doors, which all lead to the outside. Twin doors also are “a great way to add space for entertaining large groups,” according to Landry.

Features of the master suite include a large shower, custom cabinets in the closet and a comfy fireplace. Another perk of the first floor is an oversized laundry room.

Upstairs the home includes three bedrooms, three baths and a “large media room,” the Realtor notes.

While the interior boasts high end accoutrements, the outdoors remains most appealing.

“You will spend lots of time on the back porch/patio area,” Landry says. There’s a “beautiful stone fireplace and plenty of space to relax,” she says.

The towering chimney stretches above another coffered ceiling. There’s also a rear deck with “amazing” views, the listing agent notes.

From back to front, the property stands out, Landry says.

“The moment you step onto the porch you will get that easy, breezy, life is good, Daniel Island feel,” Landry says. “The wide front porch and gazebo area invite you to stop and watch the sun set, visit with your neighbors or just relax before you enter this beautiful custom home.”
