Coastal Structures spent nearly five months laying foundation, raising walls and constructing The Claw House, “a little taste of New England” that opened April 1.

The Georgetown-based firm began building the 8,000-square-foot seafood restaurant on the Marsh Walk in Murrells Inlet in November. The company put “the finishing touches on the building” heading into the eatery’s grand opening weekend, the contractor says.

“The building for The Claw House fits in perfectly with the other buildings along the Marsh Walk,” says Coastal Structures Corp. owner Harby Moses.

Coastal Structures describes the restaurant as New England-style, featuring a climate-controlled outdoor deck and a horseshoe-shaped raw bar. “Wooden walls, tables and chairs create a rustic and inviting atmosphere,” the builder says.

The Claw House, which offers sights Murrells Inlet lowlands, stands next to the Dead Dog Saloon. “With the scenic views overlooking the marsh and the overall look of the building, guests of The Claw House will definitely enjoy their experience,” Moses says.
