Houses in recently-built — but not brand new — subdivisions can be attractive to lease.

They tend to include all the conveniences of a new home, from upscale appliances to cable and Internet connections. Amenities can be offered. And since the dwelling has some age, prices aren’t excessive.

An example is 1211 Creekstone Way in Hanahan.

The 2,600-square-foot house can be leased for $1,595 a month. It is ready to be moved into any time, says DeLaine Carroll, of DeLaine Carroll Realty west of the Ashley.

The house, located in the Amber Glen community of Tanner Plantation in Berkeley County, is a former sales model for the builder. She calls the house “immaculate.”

Built in 2003, the two-story home has three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths. Among the perks are a great room with fireplace, spacious entry foyer and formal living and dining rooms. The foyer, living room and dining area all sport hardwood floors.

There’s a screened-in porch on the back of the house, which is on a corner lot. According to Carroll, the property is “beautifully landscaped.”

The house is new on the market. Tanner Plantation is a reasonably new upscale section of Hanahan off North Rhett Avenue extension, Tanner Ford Boulevard and Foster Creek Road.

New shopping plazas opened at the North Rhett entrance to the community in the past few years, one with a Bi- Lo grocery store.

The property is toward the front of Tanner Plantation. From Interstate 526, take the North Rhett exit heading north. Pass Yeamans Hall Road and continue about a mile. Turn left on Tanner Ford Boulevard. Take a right on Creekstone Way and ahead is 1211 Creekstone.
