Photos of 'Elsa' arrest go viral, trend on Facebook

They let her go. They let her go. They can't keep her in jail any more.

Hours after we posted Sakalas Photography's photos of Hanahan police officers arresting Glass Slipper Productions' Snow Queen character for freezing a town fountain Monday, the photos became a national phenomenon, even trending worldwide on Facebook.

The story was picked up by dozens of outlets, including USA Today and Huffington Post, which noted that Harlan City Kentucky was the first to issue warrants for her arrest some five days ago, but it was South Carolina that actually took her into custody.

The good news is the Snow Queen was given community service, as detailed on Sakalas Photography's Facebook page.
