A new nonprofit campaign is giving people who donate at least $20 a chance to post a photo and message on multiple Lowcountry billboards for the next month.

Creative Chatter Communities, a nonprofit technology startup that pairs donors with charities, launched Ultimate Selfie campaign Thursday.

All you have to do is upload a photo (selfie or otherwise) onto the organization's website, make a donation of at least $20 and, if approved for appropriate content, the photo will rotate among 17 digital billboards across the Charleston area for the next month, according to Tarrah Jennings, the VP Director of Philanthropy for Creative Chatter.

Creative Chatter is promoting the campaign on social media, encouraging people to also post the pics using the #ultimateselfiecampaign hashtag, which it shares on its Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Jenkins said everyone from proud parents, happy birthday wishers to small companies are taking part so far.

The inaugural campaign is Creative Chatter's big fundraiser of the year.

Jennings said the company will use the donations to continue to fulfill its mission of matching potential donors with nonprofits across the country.

They do that through their website, which allows nonprofits to post items they need and allows individuals to post items they want to donate. The website uses that information to make the match.

This benefits nonprofits because it allows them to spend less time looking for in-kind donations and more time with the people they serve.
