Ready or not, Jack's Cosmic Dogs will open a second diner Saturday at 1531 Folly Road, next to Hot Wheels Skate Center.

Look for two 22-foot rockets cantilevered off the awning, out-of-this-world hotdogs and an outside ice cream window, owner Jack Hurley said.

In case the new restaurant is not ready on Saturday, Hurley will have a 1964 Airstream trailer with a 14-foot Flash Gordon red rocket on top as the standby serving site. Dave Lorenz is a partner in the project. Hurley hopes to eventually open up to 10 more diners throughout the Southeast.

The flagship store will remain at 2805 U.S. Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant.
