J. Crew is bringing its upscale fashion to Mount Pleasant.

The national retailer will offer an outlet version under a new concept called J. Crew Mercantile in a new 6,000-square-foot shop in Bowman Place Shopping Center.

The offshoot of the popular J. Crew label will sit on a corner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods-anchored shopping center next to Bowman Road, according to Trey Lucy with commercial real estate firm Belk|Lucy. It will feature a collection of styles once only found at J. Crew Factory stores, according to a company statement.

The shopping center also features Nordstrom Rack, Designer Shoe Warehouse and Kitchen & Company. A new restaurant called Urban Cookhouse is slated to go on a corner behind the J. Crew site.
