Ann McGahey and Anne Toole have joined the Mount Pleasant- based Stubbs Muldrow Herin Architects Inc.

McGahey is a medical planner. She has a bachelor's degree in interior design from the University of Tennessee and a master's degree in architecture with a concentration in health care from Clemson University.

Toole is an office administrator and marketing assistant. She has a bachelor's degree in communication studies with a concentration in media and business administration from Clemson.

Domestic services

Jill Marshall has joined Cultural Care Au Pair as a local childcare coordinator in the Charleston area. She has a background in sales, marketing and event planning for political committees, chambers of commerce, private clubs and hotels. She has a bachelor's degree in marketing from Southern Methodist University.


The Art Institute of Charleston has announced several new hires and promotions.

Rob Seay has been named academic adviser. He has a bachelor's degree in finance from Clemson University and a master's degree in education from the University of Georgia. Previously, he was associate dean of students at Brevard College in North Carolina and student activities coordinator at the University of Anchorage in Alaska.

Brandon Stelter has been named supply store manager. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting from Augusta State University. Previously, he was student accountant at the Art Institute.

Christine Whipple has joined the faculty as an English teacher. She has a bachelor's degree in English from the University of South Carolina and a master's degree in English from Appalachian State University. She has taught for more than 13 years at Appalachian State.


Amanda M. Crocker has joined Hollings Cancer Center's Office of Development as a development associate. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the College of Charleston and a master's degree in health administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Health care

Dr. Jomar Roberts has joined the Neurology Clinic of Charleston. He has a bachelor's degree in biology from Benedict College and a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a residency in neurology at Louisiana State University School of Medicine.


Geoffrey L. Wendt has joined The Law Offices of Robertson Wendt as an associate attorney. He has a bachelor's degree in history from Clemson University, a master of laws in admiralty from Tulane University Law School and a law degree from the Charleston School of Law. Previously, he was a summer associate practicing maritime personal injury law at Nalley & Dew APLC in Metairie, La.


Jeff Harris has joined SunTrust Mortgage as a producing mortgage sales leader. He has more than 10 years of mortgage-industry experience. Previously he was with Wells Fargo Mortgage.


Lexie Leyman and Amy Fuller have joined the American Red Cross in the Charleston region. Leyman is executive assistant and database manager. Previously, she was with Chernoff Newman and the Peace Corps based in Peru. She has a bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston. Fuller is health and safety specialist and is marketing Red Cross training programs in the group's seven-county region. Previously, she was with the Red Cross in Michigan. She has a bachelor's degree from Saginaw Valley State University.


John Wilson has been named the publisher and editor-in-chief of Voyage, the Charleston- based publication of the South Carolina Maritime Foundation. Also, Nancy Lucas has been named creative director of the quarterly publication.

Real estate

Phillip Allen, Clay Montgomery, J.M. Kim and Hillary Collins have joined Carolina One Real Estate as agents based in the Coleman Boulevard office in Mount Pleasant. Allen, a Realtor since 2002, has experience in design, engineering and building. Montgomery has been a Realtor for 14 years. Kim has a degree in tourism management and previously worked for Cathay Pacific Airways. Collins has a bachelor's degree in business management from Charleston Southern University.


John O'Brien has joined Bocci's Italian Restaurant in Charleston as head chef. Previously, he was with Garibaldi's.
