Jim Fisher has joined Stantec as a senior project manager in the firm’s North Charleston-based transportation group. He has more than 30 years of experi- ence in design of rural and urban roadway and bridge projects.

Frank Lapsley of SMG has been named manager of the North Charleston Coliseum, North Charleston Performing Arts Center and Charleston Area Convention Center. Previously, he was general manager of the SMG-managed Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord, N.C. He has 25 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry.

Wallace “Ed” Cook II has joined Securian Financial Services, a broker-dealer and regis- tered investment advisory firm. He will continue to operate as Carolina Capital Management in Mount Pleasant. He has 30 years of industry experience.

Dr. Carolyn R. Word has joined Charleston Allergy and Asthma. She has a bachelor’s de- gree and medical degree from the University of Virginia. She did a residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Guy Ackerman has been pro- moted to director of sales at the coastal Carolinas division of Lennar. Previously, he was area sales manager. He has about 20 years of experience in the home- building industry. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Coastal Carolina University.

Hannah V. Gallagher and Aliecia M. Bores have joined the Finkel Law Firm North Charles- ton office as associate attorneys.

Gallagher has a bachelor’s degree in international business with a minor in French from the College of Charleston and a law degree from the Charleston School of Law.

Bores has a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and a law degree from the Charleston School of Law.

Stewart Bauknight has joined Premier Logistics Solutions as director of sales and client solutions.

Kate Daughtry has been promoted at Rawle Murdy to associate creative director. Previously, she was a senior art director and user experience designer.

Debbie Toombs, Susan Hogan and Jeannie Philbeck have joined Carolina One Real Estate as agents based in the Summerville Main Street office.

Toombs has an associate degree from Trident Technical College. Previously, she worked in the insurance industry for 13 years.
