Nick Schumacher has joined the Charleston office of Hogan Construction Group LLC . He is a licensed general contractor in South Carolina and has more 13 years of experience in commercial building. He has a bachelor’s degree in construction science and management from Clemson University.

Terry Simpson has joined Life Cycle Engineering Inc. as vice president in the applied technology group. He has more than 23 years of defense industry experience. Previously, he was chief technology officer and enterprise information management officer for Marine Corps intelligence. He has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

Jared Bramblett joined the Mount Pleasant office of Hussey Gay Bell & DeYoung Consulting Engineers as a civil engineer. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of South Carolina.

Tayo E. Haiyede has joined The Carolina Center for Occupational Health in North Charleston as a physician assistant. She has a bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City University of New York.

Michele Bencsik has been named patient care coordinator for Hospice Care of South Carolina in Charleston County. She is a registered nurse and has a degree from North Florida Community College. Previously, she was an operating room nurse at Takoma Regional Hospital in Greeneville, Tenn.

Douglas “Doug” Sass Jr. has joined Gaillard Dotterer Nationwide Insurance Agency in Summerville as an associate agent, focusing on commercial and agricultural insurance. He has a bachelor’s degree from Lander University.

Nick Sanders has joined Clawson & Staubes as an associate in the firm’s commercial law, bankruptcy and business section. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Furman University and a law degree from Charleston School of Law.

Marie Contrucci has joined The Joye Law Firm as an attorney concentrating on Social Security disability. Previously, she was an attorney for the Social Security Administration in Charleston.

She has a bachelor’s degree in finance and international business from Ohio University and a law degree from Charleston School of Law.

Frank E. Hanna Jr. has joined Synovus Mortgage Corp. as a loan originator based in the Daniel Island branch of NBSC.

He has 37 years of mortgage lending experience.

Ollis Jones has been promoted to director of business development and hotel operations at Production Design Associates.
