Education Amy Jenkins has joined Ashley Hall as director of admission. Previously, she was director of development for the Charleston Parks Conservancy and executive director of O’Quinn Schools. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of the South, Sewanee, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina.

Engineering Bryan Kizer has joined Stantec’s North Charleston office as a senior associate and a senior project manager in the firm’s civil engineering and site design group. He has 20 years of civil engineering experience. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from The Citadel and a master’s degree in water resources and environmental engineering from the University of South Carolina.

Hotel Matthew Miller has been named general manager of the Holiday Inn Charleston Historic Downtown, which is to open in November. He has a bachelor’s degree in hotel restaurant institutional management from Johnson and Wales University.

Insurance Amy Michelle Fralix has joined Charleston-based Hub International Southeast as an account manager in the employee benefits department.

Law Amanda Morgan Blundy has joined Harvey & Vallini LLC as an attorney in the firm’s litigation department. Her practice will focus on business disputes, construction and professional liability. Previously, she was with McAngus Goudelock and Courie LLC. She has a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from The Pennsylvania State University and a law degree from Villanova University School of Law.

Amy E. Mathisen has joined Charleston-based Luzuriaga Mims LLP as special counsel. Amy practices in the area of workers’ compensation defense law. She has a bachelor’s degree from Wofford College and a law degree from the University of South Carolina Law School.

Nonprofit Alix Robinson Tew has joined Ronald McDonald House of Charleston as development director. Previously, she worked at Trident Academy and the Preservation Society of Charleston. She has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston.

Politics George Ramsey has joined the The Felkel Group to manage the Greenville-based firm’s Charleston office. Most recently hew was field director for U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy and previously was political director for U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint. He has a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University.
