Brisbin

Becky Smith has been named principal at LS3P Associates Ltd., and David Anderson, David Ramey, Scott Sampson and Spencer Dixon have been named associate principals. They also have become shareholders in the Charleston-based firm.

Dewayne Jones has joined Glasspro as manager of the company’s Goose Creek Car Wash.

Byron McDonald has joined Miller-Valentine Group as a construction superintendent. He has nearly 35 years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in industrial, office, education and medical facilities. He is based in the firm’s Charleston office.

Josh Hawkins has joined ADC Engineering as a civil project designer. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a minor in environmental engineering from Clemson University.

Stephen A. McMillan has joined the Charleston office of Palmer & Cay as a partner and client executive in the firm’s property and casualty insurance practice. Previously, he was a senior vice president with Wells Fargo Insurance Services in Charleston and Savannah for more than 14 years. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia.

Andrea Heffernan Brisbin has joined Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd PA’s Charleston office as special counsel in the health care practice. Previously, she was with Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Boston College and a law degree from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America.

Dave Ryan has been named chief strategy officer of MeadWestvaco Specialty Chemicals division in North Charleston. He focus will on the air purification business. Previously, he was chief financial officer for the chemical division.

Robert G. “Bob” Reinecke has joined the S.C. State Ports Authority in the newly created position of vice president for global account sales. He lead Midwest sales for the agency. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the shipping industry, with expertise in the retail and agricultural sectors. Most recently, he was director of Midwest sales for Hanjin Shipping, where he was responsible for a 14-state region. He has a bachelor’s degree in business from Western Illinois University.

Alberto Bennet Van der Mije Jr. has joined Carolina One Real Estate Services as a sales associate in the company’s West Islands office on Folly Road. Previously, he was in real estate sales in New York City for Brown-Harris-Stevens and Sotheby’s International. He has a bachelor’s degree in history from the College of Charleston.

Jay Law has partnered his real estate business with William Means Real Estate, a Christie’s Real Estate affiliate. He has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in business administration from Charleston Southern University.
