Burt Rhodes has joined Brantley Construction Co. LLC as director of business development. He has more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience and 12 years of construction experience.

Laura Bauersfeld has been promoted to executive services administrator at The Winkler Group. She has a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University.

Manuel “Manny” Lovgren has joined North Charleston-based Life Cycle Engineering as senior vice president of the engineering services group. He has more than 26 years of experience in the ship repair and modernization industry. Most recently, he was vice president of business development for the Navy and Marine Corps services sector at General Dynamics Corp.

Cicely McCray has been named director of recruitment, marketing and communi- cations at the Graduate School of the College of Charleston. Previously, she was school liaison officer for Joint Base Charleston. She has a bachelor’s degree from Alabama A&M University and a master’s degree from the Ohio State University.

Thomas Heath has joined Duvall Events as an event specialist. He will focus on corporate and nonprofit clients. He has a bachelor’s degree from New York University.

Rafael de la Torre has joined Ridgeville-based ArborGen as a planning and analysis manager in forest planning and finance. He has more than 25 years of experience. Previously, he was a manager of planning and analysis at CellFor Inc. He has a master’s degree and a doctorate from the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of Georgia.

Amanda Blundy has joined the Mount Pleasant office of McAngus Goudelock & Courie. Her practice focuses on general litigation defense, personal injury, construction and professional liability. She has bachelor’s degrees in political science and history from the Pennsylvania State University and a law degree from Villanova University School of Law.

Seth W. Whitaker has been named a principal of Duffy & Young LLC. His practice includes litigation, trusts and estates. He has bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering and political science from North Carolina State University and a law degree from the University of Virginia.

Robert Ashley has joined Production Design Associates as scenic director. Previously, he was technical director for the College of Charleston. He has a bachelor’s degree in technical direction from the North Carolina School of the Arts.

Catherine Main has been named executive director of the Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Emory University and a master’s degree in environmental studies and coastal planning from the College of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina. Previously, she was with the Kiawah Conservancy.

Craig Burridge has joined the South Carolina Pharmacy Association as chief executive officer. Previously, he was executive director of the Pharmacists Society of the State of New York. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a master’s degree in public service from Russell Sage College.

Ed Kercher has been named managing broker of the Charleston office of Cushman & Wakefield|Thalhimer. He has more than 26 years of commercial real estate experience.

Sarah Minter and BJ Rodgers have joined Carolina One Real Estate as agents based in the Goose Creek Metro North office. Minter has an associate’s degree in business and has been a real estate agent since 2005. Rodgers has been a business owner and real estate investor for more than 25 years.

Reen Waterman has joined RE/MAX Advanced Realty as an agent in its Mount Pleasant office. He has more than 20 years of real estate experience. He has a master’s degree in Christian counseling from Capital Bible Seminary.
