Betsy McArdle has joined Children's Discovery Center in Mount Pleasant as education director. Previously, she was a public school educator for 12 years and has worked in general and special education and administration. She has a bachelor's degree in special education and a master's in educational administration from Miami University of Ohio.

Alex Hendricks has joined Margaret Donaldson Interiors. She has a bachelor's degree in business and economics from Wofford College.

Steven R. Kropski has joined the Charleston office of Carlock Copeland & Stair LLP as an associate attorney. He concentrates his practice in the area of professional malpractice defense, and construction and commercial litigation. Previously, he was with a firm in Buffalo, N.Y.

Naomi Cills has joined The ARK, Alz- heimer's Family Support Services in Summerville as coordinator of the respite program and co-trainer for Powerful Tools for Caregivers. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Charleston Southern University.

Caroline McDavid has joined the Harry and Reba Huge Foundation in Mount Pleasant as executive assistant and director of external affairs.

Art Hightower, Aubrey Ondrasek and Meredith Walters have joined Carolina One Real Estate Crowfield Metro North office as agents. Previously, Hightower was with Hightower Construc- tion. Ondra-sek has a medical assistant degree from Virginia College. Walters has a degree in business management from the University of North Carolina.

Brian Gargone has joined Island Realty as marketing coordinator. Previously, he was assistant director of media rela- tions for The Citadel Athletic Department. He has a bachelor's degree from Lock Haven University and a master's from The Citadel.
