Pete McLaughlin has been promoted to vice president at BB&T. He is a mortgage loan officer based in the Summerville office. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Edinboro University.

Dr. Frank M. Schwartz has joined Alpha Medical & Spinal Care in Mount Pleasant as treating chiropractor. He has more than 15 years of experience. He has a bachelor’s degree in general science with a minor in psychology from Regents University and a doctorate in chiropractic medicine from Life University.

Kevin Vollnogle has joined Stantec as a senior landscape architect based in the North Charleston office. He has more than 13 years of landscape design experience. He has a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Clemson University.

Jim Rowan II has joined Edward Jones as a financial adviser in the firm’s new Daniel Island office. Previously, he was based in the Mount Pleasant location. He has a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Southern Illinois University and a master’s in business and security management from Webster University.

Lee Stroever has joined the Kiawah Island Club as the head golf professional at its River Course. Previously, he was an assistant professional at McArthur Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Fla. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rollins College.

Benjamin D. Johnson has joined the S.C. Department of Commerce as research director. Previously, he was senior research analyst for CBRE and research and client services director at Newmark Grubb Wilson Kibler. He has bachelor’s degrees in finance and marketing and a master’s in business administration with a concentration in international business, both from the University of South Carolina.

Amandra Kelly has been pro- moted to senior designer at 32°80° Loft Interiors & Gallery. She had been an associate designer and has a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the Art Institute of Charleston.

Patrick C. Wooten has been named a partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. He is based in the Charleston office. Previously, he was an associate attorney. He practices in the areas of business and general litigation, antitrust law and trust litigation. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina and a law degree from Duke University School of Law.

Suzanne Craig has been named chair of the Medical University of South Carolina’s department of comparative medicine and director of the division of Laboratory Animal Resources. She has more than 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine, training and education.
