Janet Shaver has joined First Citizens as private banking relationship manager and vice president based in the bank’s East Bay Street office in downtown Charleston. She has more than 17 years of private banking and wealth management experience. Previously, she was with Morgan Stanley and Wachovia Corp. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.

Corey Edwards, Joshua Wiggins and Stephanie Wells have joined Charleston-based Call Experts. Edwards is trainer. Wiggins is director of employee development. Wells is outbound supervisor.

Also, Anna Prete, Brian Cranney, Nichole Jones, Lacee Harris and David Van Gorder have joined the company as team leaders.

Dr. Patrice Mitchell has been named vice president for Trident Technical College’s Division of Student Services. Her responsibilities includes recruitment, testing, admissions, registration, financial aid, orientation, student activities, student records, counseling and student employment. She has more than 20 years of experience. Previously, she was associate vice president of enrollment management at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah. She has a bachelor’s degree in communication from Salem College, a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro,and a doctorate in adult and community college education from North Carolina State University.

Dr. Allyson Thatcher has joined Trident Pain Center as primary provider in the practice’s new Moncks Corner office. She has more than 20 years of post-residency experience. Most recently, she was medical director at Concentra Urgent Care.

She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.

Rose Beth Grossman has joined the Rosen Law Firm LLC as an associate attorney. Her practice focuses on civil litigation and family law. Previously, she was a judicial law clerk to Judge Steven H. John. She has a bachelor’s degree in international business and history from the College of Charleston, a master’s degree in history from Vanderbilt University and a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Sarah Gerald and Samantha Ader have joined Trident United Way.

Gerald is outcomes management system coordinator. She has a bachelor’s degree from Elon University.

Ader is a loaned executive. Previously, she was community impact and campaign associate at Plymouth Community United Way in Plymouth, Mich. She has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.

Matt Tomsic has joined the South Carolina State Ports Authority as manager of external affairs. Previously, he was a staff writer for the Charleston Regional Business Journal.

He has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

Carol Corrigan and Melanie Ropp have joined Elaine Brabham and Associates as sales associates.

Pam Mogle King has joined the Lowcountry Innovation Center in North Charleston as general manager. Previously, she was general manager of the Regus Group in Mount Pleasant and Washington, D.C.

Christopher J. Morin has joined the Mount Pleasant Coleman Boulevard office of Carolina One Real Estate as an agent. He has construction management and technology degrees from Wentworth Institute of Technology and Southern Maine Technical College.

Previously, he was with Schuchart Construction and Choate Construction.

Eddie Sturgeon of Charleston has been promoted at RE/MAX to head up all new franchise development for the real estate company in South Carolina and North Carolina.

Andy Lange and Melissa McCants Azevedo have been promoted at the Charleston RiverDogs.

Lane is vice president for corporate sales. He has been with the club for 13 years.

Azevedo is vice president for special events. She has been with the team since 1988.
