East Cooper Medical CEO leaves

Janie Sinacore-Jaberg

The chief executive officer of East Cooper Medical Center is no longer with the Mount Pleasant hospital.

Staff were notified on Wednesday that Janie Sinacore-Jaberg stepped down after less than three years on the job, The Post and Courier has learned.

The hospital referred questions to its owner, Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare.

Phil Shaw is listed on East Cooper Medical’s website as its interim CEO.

Sinacore-Jaberg had been running the hospital since October 2008. She oversaw its relocation from its former Bowman Road facility to a newly built $153 million campus near Mathis Ferry Road and U.S. Interstate 526 about 13 months ago.
