DeSano Pizza Bakery opened today at Charleston International Airport.
Located on the new section of Concourse B, it is the first of the airport’s new food and beverage concessions to open as part
of the $189 million terminal makeover.
DeSano opens at 5 a.m. and closes after the last flight departs each night. The restaurant serves salads and meatball sandwiches as well.
Concession company Delaware North will open other restaurants in coming months at the airport.
Harvest & Grounds, coming in June to the Central Hall, will feature coffee provided by Charleston’s own King Bean Coffee Roasters.
The pizza shop, like many of the new concessionaires, is accessible only to those with a boarding pass since it is in the post-security part of the airport.
DeSano has another shop in downtown Charleston.
