Two weeks after announcing another $19 million in venture capital funding, Charleston human resources software firm PeopleMatter has purchased an Atlanta-based hiring assessments company.

PeopleMatter completed the acquisition of PeopleClues Tuesday, according to CEO Nate DaPore. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

While PeopleMatter’s software helps businesses hire, train and schedule hourly workers, PeopleClues’s tests help determine whether an applicant is a fit for a given job. PeopleClues has offices in Atlanta, San Francisco and Tulsa and counts among its stable of clients Coca-Cola and Hilton.

The companies formed a partnership last year that involved PeopleMatter paying PeopleClues for use of its tests, DaPore said, and began formal discussions about a sale in January.

“It’s going to be a great opportunity for our business,” DaPore said Wednesday afternoon. “We’re excited about it.”

PeopleMatter moved its headquarters from North Charleston to Upper King Street late last month. PeopleClues’s employees will move into PeopleMatter’s offices in Atlanta and San Francisco, though the company will remain a separate division of PeopleMatter for now, DaPore said.
