Diego Benitez has joined SIB Fixed Cost Reduction as senior software engineer. Previously, he worked in data architecture for BuzzAngle Music.

Katherine Holba has been promoted to business development manager at the Charleston Regional Development Alliance. Previously, she was business development coordinator. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics and international business management from Clemson University.

Colleen Knauer has been named principal of Northwoods Middle School in North Charleston. Previously, she was the interim principal. She has a bachelor’s degree in secondary English from the University of Rhode Island, a master’s degree in mathematics education from The Citadel and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Northeastern University.

Cynthia Perez has been named principal of Mamie P. Whitesides Elementary School in Mount Pleasant. Previously, she was assistant principal for 14 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Columbia College and a master’s degree in elementary school counseling and administration from The Citadel.

Engineering

Bryan Thomas has joined SeamonWhiteside as a computer-aided design technician based in the Mount Pleasant office. He has an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology from Horry-Georgetown Technical College.

Michael J. Laubinger has joined Victoria Capital Management Inc. as a vice president for portfolio management and business development. Previously, he was a vice president and financial consultant for Charles Schwab & Co. He has a bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State University.

Food

Greg Rayburn has been named chief executive officer of Charleston-based Know Allergies. He has been a partner in the maker of allergen-free granola bars since 2016. He has more than 30 years of experience as an executive. Previously, he was chairman and CEO of Hostess Brands and Flurowater Inc. He has a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama.

Health care

Dr. Ashton Rountree has joined Germain Dermatology in Mount Pleasant as a dermatologist. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology from the University of Georgia and a medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in dermatology at the Medical College of Georgia.

Hospitality

Jill Maynard has joined the Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau as industry workforce and programs director. Previously, she was with Hall Management Group as general manager of Slightly North of Broad and, most recently, High Cotton.

Irish “Ryan” Neville has joined Stevens & Lee in an of-counsel capacity. He is based in the firm’s Charleston litigation department. He concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and a law degree from the Charleston School of Law.

Emzee Hilliard has joined Push Digital as deputy director of business development. She has a bachelor's degree in Spanish and psychology from the University of South Carolina.

She also recently co-founded PriMed, an accelerator program for medical device startups.
