The College of Charleston women's tennis team defeated North Florida, 6-1, Sunday in the Cougars’ home opener played at the College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant.

The school had to cancel a match scheduled at 8:30 a.m. against Coastal Carolina because of extremely cold weather.
