Boeing Co. has scheduled a ground-breaking ceremony for its North Charleston 787 assembly plant.
The event is set for Friday, Nov. 20, at the future plant site at Charleston International Airport, the company said today.
Last month, Boeing picked North Charleston over the Seattle area for the $750 million aircraft assembly line, which is expected to create as many as 3,800 direct jobs. The factory is scheduled to open in the summer of 2011.
