Beauty products retailer Sephora to open in Charleston in March

Beauty products retailer Sephora plans to open a shop in Charleston in March.

San Francisco-based beauty products retailer Sephora will open a store in March at 289 King St. in downtown Charleston, according to a store clerk.

The space was vacated last year by Bebe clothing and accessories shop.

Sephora specializes in high-end makeup, hair, skincare and other grooming products for women and men.

The full, standalone Sephora retail store will be a first for the Charleston area, though a smaller selection of Sephora products can now be found inside J.C. Penney at Northwoods Mall in North Charleston.
