Chestnut Hill, Mass. — Clemson swept Boston College during an ACC baseball doubleheader on Saturday afternoon, 7-5 and 9-2.
The Tigers improved to 22-13 overall and 9-9 in the ACC. The Eagles fell to 13-20 overall and 6-11.
In the first game, Clemson rallied for four runs in the seventh inning for the victory.
David Haselden (3-1) pitched 52/3 innings in relief to earn the win. He allowed five hits, two runs and no walks with five trikeouts.
Phil Pohl led Clemson’s 14-hit attack by going 3 for 5 with an RBI.
In the second game, sophomore right-hander Jonathan Meyer pitched seven strong innings in his first college start to lead Clemson.
Pohl went 3 for 5 with two runs and a walk to lead the Tigers, who had 12 hits.
Brad Miller went 2 for 4 with a double and game-high three RBIs.
Matt McGovern had a team-high two hits for Boston College, who had six hits in the game.
The Tigers next play at Georgia on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
