Goose Creek Farmers & Artisans Market: 9 a.m.-1 p.m., every Saturday through Dec. 18. Goose Creek City Hall, 519 N. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek. Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan enrollment: The annual enrollment period is open now through Dec. 7. Eligible individuals can sign up, switch or leave a health care plan to fit their coverage needs for 2022. Go to Medicare.gov to compare plans, benefits and get estimated costs. Insurance companies that offer Medicare Advantage plans can provide plan information, prescription pricing, benefits and what providers are in-network on their website. Huffin’ for the Stuffin’ 5K: 9 a.m., Nov. 25. Village Green, Carnes Crossroads, 513 Wodin Place, Summerville. Start your Thanksgiving celebration early by joining the Fleet Feet crew at the third Annual Huffin’ For The Stuffin’ 5K at Carnes Crossroads! Create a new Thanksgiving tradition of running, walking or strolling through our beautiful community at this family-friendly event. Wear your favorite, festive Thanksgiving attire! Strollers are welcome. Proceeds from the event will benefit Dorchester Paws and the Goose Creek Police Department’s “Shop with a Badge” event. Holiday Lights Driving Tour: 6-9 p.m., Nov. 26-Dec. 30. (closed Dec. 24-25). 1 Riverwood Drive, Moncks Corner. $5 per vehicle. Hop in the car with your family and friends and follow a picturesque path through thousands of brilliant, twinkling lights. Proceeds benefit local charities.

Letters to Santa: 8 a.m.-9 p.m., Dec. 1-15. Goose Creek Community Center, 519A N. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek. Write your letter to Santa and deliver it to the special Santa Mailbox at the Goose Creek Community Center and receive a personal note back from Santa himself! Christmas in the Creek Tree Lighting: 5:30-8:30 p.m., Dec. 3. Marguerite H. Brown Municipal Center, 519 N. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek. Kick off the holiday season in Goose Creek as the city’s Christmas tree is lit for everyone to see! Christmas in the Creek will feature holiday hayrides, holiday crafts, marshmallow roasting, photos with Santa and lots more! The tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m. and will be on display throughout the month of December. Interested in sponsoring or participating in the event? Holiday Fairs: 6-9:30 p.m. (Sun. 2-6 p.m.) Dec. 3-5, 10-12 and 17-19. Moncks Corner Regional Recreation Complex, 418 E. Main St., Moncks Corner. Free admission. The Holiday Fairs offer families and friends a place to gather and celebrate the holidays. Enjoy free visits with Santa Claus, carnival rides, crafts, food and festive activities. Although we know your pets feel like part of the family, we ask that you leave your furry friends at home.

Holiday Wreath Class: 10 a.m. to noon, Dec. 4. Old Santee Canal Park, Learning Center, 900 Stony Landing Drive, Moncks Corner. Fee is $20. Learn to create a beautiful holiday wreath from natural materials found around the park. Class size is limited to 15. Masks are required inside all buildings. Winter Arts and Crafts Fair: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 4. Covenant Life Church, 10755 US Hwy. 78, Summerville. Free admission. Everyone is invited! Get an early start on holiday shopping. Senior Christmas Dinner: 12:30-2:30 p.m., Dec. 8. Goose Creek Community Center Gym, 519A N. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek. Free for Goose Creek Senior residents and $5 for non-residents. Pre-registration is required. Tickets will be available at the Goose Creek Community Center starting Monday, Nov. 22 after the Thanksgiving Banquet. Deadline is Dec. 3 or until tickets sell out. There are only 75 tickets available for this event. Christmas in the Creek Holiday Parade: 9:30-11 a.m., Dec. 11. Saint James Avenue, Goose Creek. The mile-long parade begins on Saint James Avenue and continues to Marilyn Street. Road closures will begin at 8 a.m. Rain date is Dec. 18. Are you interested in participating, sponsoring or have general questions? Time for Tots: 10-11:30 a.m., Dec. 15. Interpretive Center at Old Santee Canal Park, 900 Stony Landing, Moncks Corner. Ages 2-5 with an adult. $5 per child and adults are free. Come enjoy some special time with your child while doing a variety of activities. We may read a book, watch a movie and do Summer Luau-related arts and crafts. We welcome masks, but not required. Check Out SC: Now through March 2022. Berkeley County Library System is proud to announce the renewal of the State Park Passport program. Explore all the beauty and wonder South Carolina has to offer! Each passport will give customers the ability to visit all 47 South Carolina state parks with free admission for everyone in the vehicle. LAFRA Meeting: Meets the third Tuesday of the month. The meeting is at the Fleet Reserve Home, 99 Wisteria Road, Goose Creek. All members are encouraged to attend.

Goose Creek Recreation Commission: 6-7 p.m., meets the first Monday of each month, at the Goose Creek Community Center, 519A N. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek. All meetings are open to the public.

Goose Creek Cultural Arts Commission: 7-8 p.m., meets the second Monday of each month, at the Goose Creek Community Center, 519A N. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek. All meetings are open to the public.

Goose Creek Architectural Review Board: 6:30-7:30 p.m., meets third Monday of every month. The city of Goose Creek Architectural Review Board requirements are that all changes to commercial properties be reviewed and approved by the board. The application deadline is 5 p.m., 14 days prior to a board meeting. For major applications, the project will need to be reviewed by staff, comments/corrections issued to the applicant/architect/engineer and comments addressed/corrections made by the applicant/architect/engineer prior to submission of the application on the deadline. Goose Creek City Council Meeting: 6-7 p.m., meets the second Tuesday of each month, at City Hall, 519 Goose Creek Blvd. All city council meetings are open to the public and include the opportunity for attendees to address council with questions and concerns. Moncks Corner Board of Zoning Appeals: 6-7 p.m., meets the first Tuesday of each month. Moncks Corner Town Hall, 118 Carolina Ave. The board votes on special exceptions and variances, and only meets when applications have been submitted. The public is welcome to attend.

Moncks Corner Town Council Meeting: 6-7 p.m., third Tuesday of each month. In the courtroom at Town Hall, 118 Carolina Ave. Any changes in the meeting schedules are advertised in advance. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Berkeley County Board of Education: 5:30 p.m., meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month in the boardroom located at 107 E. Main St. in Moncks Corner (except as noted on Oct. 27 and March 9). Board meetings are open to the public and citizens are encouraged to attend. There is an opportunity for “Citizen Comments” at the start of each meeting. Meetings are streamed live on the BCSD YouTube channel.

Moncks Corner Crime Watch Meeting: 6:30 -7:30 p.m., fourth Thursday of each month. Hosted by the Moncks Corner Police Department at Moncks Corner Town Hall, 118 Carolina Ave. Join in and voice your concerns and find out what is going on in the community.

Berkeley Soil and Water Conservation Meeting: 11 a.m. to noon., fourth Tuesday of each month. Monthly meeting locations change so please email info@berkeleysoilandwater.com or call 843-719-4146 for information. The public is welcome and encouraged to come.
