NARFE Chapter Meeting: 1:30 p.m., Jan. 24. National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at the Faith Seelers Senior Center, 312 N. Laurel Street in Summerville. Daddy Daughter Dance: 6-8 p.m., Feb. 4. Goose Creek Community Center Gym, 519A N. Goose Creek Blvd, Goose Creek. The Goose Creek Recreation's Daddy Daughter Dance is back for its sixth year. Girls ages 3 to 12 and their dads are invited to join us at the Goose Creek Community Center for a magical evening of music, dancing, crafts, photos and light refreshments. Daddies, grandpas, uncles, big brothers, stepdads and all amazing “Dads” are welcome. Semi-formal attire requested. Masks are required and socially distancing will be enforced. Safety protocols will be in place in order for us to provide a safe and fun evening for the couples. Pre-registration is required. Register at the Community Center or over the phone with the event coordinator at 843-569-4242. Residents: $20/couple; Non-residents: $25/couple. Additional daughters $5/each. Space is limited.

Lowcountry Winter Coin Show: Noon to 6 p.m., Feb. 4-6. Exchange Park Fairgrounds, 9850 Hwy. 78, Ladson. Free admission. Coin and currency collectors and dealers from the tri-state area gather to visit, buy, sell, trade and enjoy thousands of collectible items. Kids are welcome. Door prizes daily. BBQ & Brews: 3-7 p.m., March 5. Carnes Crossroads Green Barn, 513 Wodin Place, Summerville. In 2022, the City of Goose Creek will celebrate St. Patty's Day with our annual BBQ & Brews festival. Come enjoy an evening of live Irish music, a variety of barbecue food vendors, a couple beer trailers provided by Steel City Pizza in Carnes Crossroads, St. Patrick's Day themed crafts and free kids' activities. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Admission and parking are free. Parking will be available at the pool parking lot, in the grassy lot behind the barn. Due to current safety guidelines, there will not be a children's gold hunt this year. Masks are required and social distancing will be enforced. Rain date is March 12. LAFRA Meeting: Meets the third Tuesday of the month. The meeting is at the Fleet Reserve Home, 99 Wisteria Road, Goose Creek. All members are encouraged to attend.

Goose Creek Recreation Commission: 6-7 p.m., meets the first Monday of each month, at the Goose Creek Community Center, 519A N. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek. All meetings are open to the public.

Goose Creek Cultural Arts Commission: 7-8 p.m., meets the second Monday of each month, at the Goose Creek Community Center, 519A N. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek. All meetings are open to the public.

Goose Creek Architectural Review Board: 6:30-7:30 p.m., meets third Monday of every month. The city of Goose Creek Architectural Review Board requirements are that all changes to commercial properties be reviewed and approved by the board. The application deadline is 5 p.m., 14 days prior to a board meeting. For major applications, the project will need to be reviewed by staff, comments/corrections issued to the applicant/architect/engineer and comments addressed/corrections made by the applicant/architect/engineer prior to submission of the application on the deadline. Moncks Corner Board of Zoning Appeals: 6-7 p.m., meets the first Tuesday of each month. Moncks Corner Town Hall, 118 Carolina Ave. The board votes on special exceptions and variances, and only meets when applications have been submitted. The public is welcome to attend.

Moncks Corner Town Council Meeting: 6-7 p.m., third Tuesday of each month. In the courtroom at Town Hall, 118 Carolina Ave. Any changes in the meeting schedules are advertised in advance. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Berkeley County Board of Education: 5:30 p.m., meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month in the boardroom located at 107 E. Main St. in Moncks Corner (except as noted on Oct. 27 and March 9). Board meetings are open to the public and citizens are encouraged to attend. There is an opportunity for “Citizen Comments” at the start of each meeting. Meetings are streamed live on the BCSD YouTube channel.

Moncks Corner Crime Watch Meeting: 6:30 -7:30 p.m., fourth Thursday of each month. Hosted by the Moncks Corner Police Department at Moncks Corner Town Hall, 118 Carolina Ave. Join in and voice your concerns and find out what is going on in the community.

Berkeley Soil and Water Conservation Meeting: 11 a.m. to noon., fourth Tuesday of each month. Monthly meeting locations change so please email info@berkeleysoilandwater.com or call 843-719-4146 for information. The public is welcome and encouraged to come.
