• Lowcountry Shine & Swapp Anything on Wheels car show will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Coastal Carolina Flea Market, 165 Market Road in Ladson. Donations are encouraged. March 3

• Lowcountry Muscle Car sponsors an Open Cruise-in “Modern Muscle Night (1990 and newer)” 4:30-7 p.m. at Sonic Drive-in, 660 College Park Road in Goose Creek. The event is open to everyone. On the 1st Saturday of each month, the club hosts a “feature” night featuring a brand or type of vehicle. The front 13 spaces at Sonic are marked off for the featured cars. It’s first come, first served.

• Goose Creek Cars and Coffee, a free bimonthly cruise-in, will take place 8-10 a.m. in the parking lot behind Bojangles on St. James Boulevard in Goose Creek. The event will be held the first and third Saturdays of the month. All special interest vehicles are welcome.

• Charleston Cars & Coffee, a free weekly cruise-in, will be 8-11 a.m. in front of Atlanta Bread Co. at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. Other cruise-ins this month will be March 10, 17, 24 and 31.

March 7

• Bessinger’s Bar-B-Q will host the first Open Car, Truck & Motorcycle show of the year 6-9 p.m. at the diner, 1602 Savannah Highway in Charleston. Registration is $5. There are three trophies per class. Categories include cars 1942 and earlier, ’43-’59, ’60-’71 and ’72-2018; street rods; trucks; and motorcycles. Music is provided by The Cruise-O-Matics. March 10

• An Open Car Show & Swap Meet will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Citadel Mall parking lot west of the Ashley in Charleston. Registration is $10. There are three trophies per class plus People’s Choice. The event is the first in a series of "Second Saturday" car shows sponsored by Antique Automobile Club of America, Coastal Carolina region.

• Low Country Mustang Club will sponsor the Open Cruise-In at House of Pizza 6-9 p.m. at Charleston House of Pizza, 5031 Dorchester Road in North Charleston. The event is open to all makes and models.

• Coastal Carolina Corvette Club will meet 2-3 p.m. to organize the upcoming Vettes Doin’ Charleston show and 3-4 p.m. for the general monthly meeting. Gatherings are open to any Corvette owner or enthusiast, and club members. It will be held at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 5264 International Blvd. in North Charleston.

March 15-17

• The 30th anniversary Run to the Sun Car Show -- described as one of the largest car fests in the Southeast -- "brings thousands of classic cars" to the old Myrtle Square Mall, 2501 Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. Collector-vehicle enthusiasts from around the country will attend, and the show raises money for the Children’s Miracle Network and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Show times are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Registration, with a $45 day of show fee, is 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8-11 a.m. Saturday. Pee Dee Street Rodders is the organizer. • The PeeDee Roundup Mustang & Ford Show will be at Cheves and Dargan streets in downtown Florence. Pre-registration is $20; show day registration is $25. April 21

• Coastal Carolina Corvette Club will host its 11th yearly Vettes Doin’ Charleston all-Corvette show at Benefitfocus on Daniel Island. Proceeds support the National Corvette museum and Veterans’ Victory House in Walterboro. Go to www.4cccc.org.

• The annual Cars on Kiawah auto show will take place at Ocean Park on Kiawah Island. Around 300 cars covering a century of "automotive history and style" will be in attendance. Dennis Gage, host of "My Classic Car," will be filming an episode to air on the Velocity Network next year. Harvey Geiger, a nationally recognized auto history and car culture authority, will be master of ceremonies. Ally Financial is a presenting sponsor. Registration fee is $35. The event is free for spectators; there's a $10 parking fee per car in a designated area adjacent to the show field.
