• The CMN Car Show is returning to the Goose Creek Walmart from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be 15 classes with first, second and third place trophies in each class. Two special trophies also will be awarded. Classes are years 1942 and before, 1943-59, 1960-72 and 1973-present; street rods; Corvettes C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5, C6; trucks; mud trucks; Mustangs 1964-78, 1979-93, 1994-2004 and 2005-present; imports/sport compact; and Camaros. There will be food and music. All proceeds will go to the Children’s Miracle Network.

• Street Rods Unlimited will be holding its monthly cruise-in at Northern Tool + Equipment at 5900 Rivers Avenue in North Charleston starting at 5 p.m. All special interest vehicles are welcome. Wednesday • A monthly car show sponsored by the Charleston-Lowcountry Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America will be held 6-9 p.m. at O’Reilly Auto Parts, 205 N. Goose Creek Blvd. in Goose Creek. Registration is $5. Classes include years 1955 and prior, 1956-65, 1966-75 and 1976-present; Corvettes; imports; motorcycles; Mustangs; street rods; and trucks. Trophies will be awarded in all classes plus best in show. The club will be accepting monetary or nonperishable food donations for Helping Hands of Goose Creek. May 26 • Coastal Carolina Corvette Club will present the Car Pro Plaza Open Car, Bike & Truck Show, sponsored by Car Pro Plaza in Summerville. The show will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Registration starts at 10 a.m. at Car Pro Plaza, 103 Old Trolley Road. Registration fee is $10 per vehicle. Thirty trophies will be awarded by class size, and there will be Sponsor’s Choice trophies. Classes will be Corvettes; motorcycles; sport compact; Mustangs; street rods; trucks; and years 1939 and earlier, 1940-62, 1963-71, 1972-89, 1990-2005 and 2006-present. June 2 • The St. James Mission Car Charity Show will take place 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at 925 S. Jefferies Blvd. in Walterboro. Sponsored by St. Anthony and St. James The Greater Catholic churches, the show goes by the motto, “If it rolls, bring it!” Registration, which is $20 a car, will be 9 a.m.- noon. Awards include Best in Show, People’s Choice, Farthest Traveled, Oldest Vehicle and Mission Choice. Trophies will be handed out at 2 p.m. There will be barbecue and other food, drinks and a silent auction. The show is a fundraiser for the restoration of the Old School at St. James, located at Catholic Hill on Ritter Road. The school was built in 1870 by former slaves for the education of their children, also former slaves. The event will be held rain or shine. June 16 • The KMS South Georgia Drift, Drag Race and SPL car show championship series will be held 10 a.m.-11 p.m. at South Georgia Motorsports Park, 2521 Highway 41 N. in Adel, Ga., at exit 32 off Interstate 75. Imports, sport compacts, mini trucks, classic, street rods, muscle cars, trucks and bikes can take part. Events include Dyno Horse Power, Car Show, Car Meet, Sound Off and Glow Off and Swap Meet. General admission is $15 or $10 with coupon. Car show registration is $30 a driver and car meet registration is $20 a driver. The event is part of the KMS Drift Tour that includes South Carolina. Aug. 25 • Darby Racing Club will hold its first car, bike and truck/SUV show 5-9 p.m. at Hooters restaurant, 2171 Northwoods Blvd. in North Charleston.
