Law enforcement officials are looking for two Hispanic males who authorities say turned their truck into a passing car near Goose Creek on Friday afternoon, sending a man and his pregnant wife to the hospital.

Eighteen-year-old Alicia Richardson was driving a 1993 Saturn on Harborlake Drive when an unidentified Hispanic driver turned prematurely and struck the vehicle, according to S.C. Highway Patrol spokesman Cpl. Paul Brouthers. Harborlake is a residential road that ends in a multifamily development.

The driver and his passenger left their truck, a dark gray Dodge Durango, and fled the scene by foot.

Emergency responders took Richardson, who suffered a broken leg and injuries to her arm, to Medical University Hospital. Her husband, Gournett Richardson, 20, was in the passenger seat and sustained less severe injuries.

Brouthers provided no further details about the men.
