A Goose Creek man wanted for attempted armed robbery and several drug charges turned himself in to Charleston police today, police spokesman Charles Francis said.
Eugene Stanley Rollerson, 21, of Claussen Drive, is charged with attempted armed robbery, distribution of cocaine base and distribution of cocaine base within the proximity of a school and trespassing, Francis said.
Police on Monday released a wanted bulletin, asking the public for help in locating Rollerson. The attempted armed robbery occurred March 27 at Johnson and Hanover streets, Francis said.
Rollerson is being held in the Cannon Detention Center pending a bond hearing. He surrendered without incident this morning at police headquarters on Lockwood Boulevard, Francis said.
