WALTERBORO -- Three people were arrested and a fourth was being sought in connection with a shooting Saturday at a car wash on Hampton Street, authorities said.

A man was shot at a car wash on Hampton Street near Robertson Boulevard in Walterboro just before 4 p.m. Saturday. He was shot in the abdomen and grazed in the chest, authorities said. The man was taken by private car to a hospital. His identity has not been released.

Moray Dupree Holmes, 32, Kelvin Francis Mitchell, Jr. 24, and Brian Manigo, 19, have been arrested and charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and discharging a firearm within city limits, according to a news release from the Walterboro Public Safety Department .

All three were being held at the Colleton County Jail pending bond hearings.

The arrests were a result of a joint investigation by the Public Safety Department and the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office, the release said.

Arrest warrants have been signed charging Deshawn T. Brown, 19, with the same charges, the release said.

Due to the nature of the crime, Brown should be considered to be armed and dangerous.
