MONCKS CORNER -- Four Eutawville men were arrested Wednesday in connection with the slaying Monday of Brittany Aigoro, authorities said.

Investigators believe robbery was the motive for the shooting.

Aigoro, 21, of Pineville, was killed when a house she was visiting on Russellville Road was sprayed with bullets after a knock on the front door.

A resident of the house, 25-year-old Kendrick Shirer, also was shot, but he was treated and released. Aigoro died at the scene from at least one gunshot wound to her back.

Berkeley County sheriff’s investigators found multiple spent cartridges in the front yard and said on Monday there might have been more than one person firing into the house.

The investigation led to Eutawville, where four men were arrested Wednesday with the help of Orangeburg County sheriff's deputies, said Dan Moon, a spokesman for the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office.

Charged with murder are: Brandon Jenkins, 22, of Broken Arrow Road; Joshua Jenkins, 24, of Torch Road; Aveon Goodman, 23, and Sheldon Goodman, 22, both of Bounty Road.

All four were being held in the Hill-Finklea Detention Center pending a bond hearing scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday.

Moon said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
