2 York County inmates on the loose after leaving work sites

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Two South Carolina prison inmates are on the loose after walking away from jobs they held outside of prison ahead of their release.

WCNC reports that Richard Keith Poe left his work site Friday. The South Carolina Department of Corrections didn’t say where he was working. Officials describe Poe as 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds with tattoos on his right arm.

On Tuesday, Bobby Albert Camp III left his work site at B&B Tire in Rock Hill. Officials describe Camp as 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds with a tattoo on his neck with the name “Samantha.”

The South Carolina Department of Corrections says they are working with local law enforcement to locate both men, but did not release information about how the men were able to walk away.
