27-year-old man found dead Saturday in North Charleston was shot, coroner says

A 27-year-old North Charleston man who was found dead Saturday by officers died of a gunshot wound, according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.

North Charleston police responded about 9:25 a.m. Saturday to Oakwood Avenue in reference to a man reported to be dead. He was identified Sunday by Deputy Coroner Brittney Martin as John Quintez Daniels, whose address was not released.

The North Charleston Police Department has not released any details about the shooting and has not responded to a request for comment.
