Wreck on Ashley Phosphate closes eastbound lanes

North Charleston police are on the scene of an accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Ashley Phosphate Road near Frankie’s Fun Park.

The motorcyclist has been taken to Trident Hospital in serious condition, according to police spokesman Spencer Pryor.

Eastbound lanes of Ashley Phosphate are closed in the area, but traffic being redirected, he said.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
