Windjammer in Isle of Palms safe after reported bomb threat

The Windjammer in Isle of Palms has been deemed safe after an earlier bomb threat, according police

Several agencies responded just after 2:45 p.m. to the beach club, located at 1008 Ocean Blvd., after a bomb threat was called into the business, said Isle of Palms Police Department Capt. Kimberly Usry.

Officers evacuated the building and several others in the immediate vicinity. They also cleared pedestrians from the area.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad assisted and the building was inspected. Nothing suspicious was found, Usry said in an email about 4:30 p.m.
