Two Lowcountry schools are in the running for the 2015 Palmetto's Finest Schools Awards after extensive evaluations by fellow educators. There are 11 schools that are finalists statewide.

The S.C. Association of School Administrators presents the awards each year to schools that offer the best in innovative, effective educational programs. The Palmetto's Finest Award is celebrating its 37th year and is one of the most coveted and respected awards among educators. Last fall, 30 South Carolina schools submitted a 20-page application and received an on-site examination visit by a review committee. The 11 finalists are now undergoing a second on-site evaluation.

The top honors will be announced March 24. S.C. ETV will stream the announcement live to each of the finalist schools.
