No one was injured but two families were displaced when a duplex home caught fire Tuesday in North Charleston.
The house address is 7600 East Oakridge Circle, off Ashley Phosphate Road near Interstate 26.
Alternative housing was being arranged through the local Red Cross for seven people, the North Charleston Fire Department said. The families include two adults each, and one with one child and the other with two.
A female resident of one of the homes declined to comment. The cause remains under investigation.
The blaze took approximately 10 minutes to bring under control. The first arriving engine reported smoke coming from the back side of the duplex, North Charleston said.
